Westmount Shopping Centre has long been a place for everyday shopping and community connection. Our revitalization builds on that legacy, introducing refreshed amenities, improved access, and a balanced retail mix designed to support the businesses and community for years to come.
A key feature of the revitalization is a new exterior breezeway, known as The Porch. This addition will create a clear east–west connection through the site. This dual‑facing entrance improves visibility, walkability, and access to nearby destinations, including transit, schools, parks, and community facilities. The Porch is designed as a flexible space that supports movement, gathering, and future programming.
There will be a new landscaped parking area on the west side of the site. Previously limited in access, this area will create a more welcoming and functional arrival experience. Enhanced walkability, clearer routes, and site‑wide accessibility improvements will make the centre easier to navigate for all visitors.
Façade upgrades, updated landscaping, and a new brand identity will give the centre a modern, cohesive appearance while respecting its established role in the community. This revitalization is about creating a safe, welcoming, and vibrant destination for today and the future.
“The Porch” – Breezeway
We’re not just building physical spaces; we’re fostering social connections. We are connecting residential areas to community spaces, bridging the gap between residents and visitors, tenants and customers. Creating a seamless connection between the East and West sides of the centre.
The new exterior breezeway (“The Porch”) will create dual‑facing entrances on the east and west sides. This east‑west connection improves visibility and access to key community destinations such as the local bus station and high school, as well as Coronation Park, the velodrome, and the community recreation centre. More than just a throughway, the Porch was purposefully designed as a flexible space for programming.
Westmount Lane
Like “The Porch”, this pathway seamlessly connects the two sides of the centre, allowing you to easily experience everything it offers. Westmount Lane will be a second hub to help visitors conveniently run errands or find what’s new.
